'˜Rosy' future with growing franchise

A Boston-area lawn care franchise is under new ownership after an entrepreneur from the town chose to invest in its '˜growing' operation.

Robert Grant, 39, is the new owner of TruGreen Professional LawnCare South Lincolnshire.

TruGreen is the world’s largest lawn care company.

It started as a small private company in 1973 which was acquired by ServiceMaster in 1990.

Of the new venture, he said: “South Lincolnshire is a large area and offers a fantastic opportunity to grow the business.”

Mr Grant said he plans to add ‘many more customers’ throughout the year and also hopes to be in a position to take on local staff this time next year.

He continued: “I’m buoyed by the support from TruGreen and the ServiceMaster franchise team and I know the future will certainly be rosy.”

TruGreen brand operations manager and former Football Association groundsman of the Year Steve Welch said: “Robert’s technical knowledge of growing turf is excellent and customers in his care are in very good hands.
