Peter Rabbit delights sold-out audience as Trinity on Tour returns to Market Rasen

A sold-out audience filled Festival Hall in Market Rasen on Wednesday (August 26) as Trinity on Tour returned to the town with a family-friendly production of The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.

The performance, delivered by Quantum Theatre in partnership with Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre, attracted families from across the area, with young children enjoying the opportunity to see some of their favourite storybook characters brought to life on stage.

Refreshments were available throughout the afternoon courtesy of Market Rasen Town Council, giving families the chance to relax with an ice cream before and after the performance.

The event marked the fifth time Trinity on Tour has visited Market Rasen, bringing affordable live theatre directly into the community and making it easier for families to enjoy cultural experiences closer to home.

It’s fantastic to see so many families and young children enjoying themselves right here in Market Rasen.”

Councillor Moira Westley, Deputy Leader of West Lindsey District Council and ward member for Market Rasen, said: “Thanks to West Lindsey District Council, we’ve enjoyed GO Festival, WordFest and now Trinity on Tour in our town this year. It’s all part of our commitment to bringing culture and creative opportunities to communities across the district, meaning that all residents can access and enjoy fantastic events on their doorstep.”

Craig Sanders, Centre Manager at Trinity Arts Centre, said: “Taking Trinity on Tour enables us to bring the Trinity experience beyond Gainsborough and directly into communities across West Lindsey. We want theatre and the arts to be accessible and affordable for everyone. Seeing so many young people enjoying the experience of watching their favourite characters on stage is a real joy and shows why these events are so important.”

Trinity on Tour is part of West Lindsey District Council’s wider commitment to bringing cultural experiences to communities across the district, ensuring that residents of all ages can access high-quality entertainment closer to home.
