Meet the young stars of Skegness who are helping their communities

An 11-year-old Skegness girl is becoming quite a 'star' after raising a staggering £12,000 for local charities.

Summer Crane started fundraising at the age of six years, supporting Seathorne School and local charities such as Natureland, Lincolnshire Wildlife Park, Variety - the children's charity, the Church Farm Museum, and the Firefighters Charity.

She is currently raising money for Alive and Kicking and the Ingoldmells food bank.

Proud mum Katie Crane said: "She is always looking for new ideas and ways in which she can help the people of Skegness.

"She delivered selection boxes to all the service users at county care at Christmas and delivered Easter eggs to the residents of Seathorne Court care home this year.

"She has a heart of pure gold and I am so proud of her!"
