Local manufacturer donates extra PPE to hospital staff

A Skegness manufacturer which has been working hard to supply PPE to frontline workers has made an extra donation to boost supplies.

Hyprotect Ltd of Skegness Industrial Estate on Hassall Road has presented scrubs to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston.

The company employing local people and has been in business for over 36 years now, supplying .over 100 NHS hospitals with various items of PPE, both sterile and none sterile, including pharmacy wipes and protective clothing.

It also manufacture Ultra-Cap headwear for use in the food industry, which many hospitals and several pharmaceutical and medical companies also use..

Susan Curry, of Hyprotect Ltd, said they had been extra busy because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We worked over the Easter bank holiday so we could ensure our customers received the much needed PPE, in particular our NHS Hospitals.

"We still continue to work as long as it takes to support them as much as we can and, also, our food industry, who require our Ultra-Cap to ensure that the food we eat is contamination free.

"We are lucky that all staff are able to attend work and are as determined as I am to give what support we can.

"We wanted to donate some hospital scrubs to Boston's Pilgrim Hospital and are delighted to say that these have now been delivered.".
