In a statement, Horncastle Medical Group said: “ We are being inundated today with calls to the Practice from the eligible cohort of patients who have received a letter from the Government advising them to book for their Covid vaccination.

“Most of these patients have already booked appointments at Boston and are now wanting to switch to Horncastle.

“We are advising that if you have an appointment booked elsewhere please attend this appointment.

“We appreciate some may be aware that we have a limited supply of Astra Zeneca vaccines, however these have been prioritised for high risk 75 years plus patients.

“We would like to be able to offer this service for all of our patients, but supply is presently not available for this and in waiting for these to arrive, it is delaying your vaccination.

“Please do not contact the surgery to rearrange an appointment you have booked elsewhere.

“We thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.”
