Historic Navigation House in Sleaford suffers break-in and damage
North Kesteven District Council is appealing for anyone with information to get in contact with police after an historic visitor attraction suffered a break-in and damage over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Navigation House, off Carre Street, Sleaford, is a small museum dedicated to the history of the Slea Navigation (canal) and its industrial influences on the town, as well as looking more widely at the River Slea and its environment.

In a statement on its social media page, the team that looks after Navigation House announced on Easter Monday that it would not be open that day having suffered a break-in in the early hours of the morning.
They added: “Thankfully, not a lot was taken, but extensive damage has been caused so we will need today to repair and tidy the building ready for next weekend.

“If anybody has any information that might help the police in their investigation, please do get in touch.”
NKDC, which manages the heritage venue added: “We encourage anyone with any information that can help Lincolnshire Police with their enquiries into the break in at Navigation House to share what they know.”
You can get in touch with Lincolnshire Police by calling 101.
