‘Animal Antics’ was the theme of the festival and this was reflected in the choice of songs (old favourites such as ‘I’m a Gnu’ and ‘Kookaburra’ were among the numbers featured) and the wearing of home-made animal masks.

Festival chairman Lisa Wiloughby said: “The children particularly enjoyed making the animal masks and being able to sing as a large group.”

The event was conducted by Lincolnshire County Council’s vocal co-ordinator Kate Witney.

Interval music came from the woodwind ensemble of William Lovell School, Stickney.

Can you spot a familiar face among the ensemble?
