'Gala' fun set for Skegness village this weekend - with free entry and 'all-day entertainment'

‘Carnival’ capers are to return to Chapel St Leonard this week – with two days of free entertainment for families.

The annual event takes place at the village green across the weekend of August 8 and 9, from 10am to 4pm.

As with 2025 and 2024, there will be no parade this year – but organisers have booked several acts and activities to create a fun ‘gala weekend’ for all ages.

There will be live music from a soul band and a country singer, axe-throwing, a Battle of Britain memorial Flight fly-by (weather permitting), a Bernese Mountain Dog carting display and meet-and-greet, arts and crafts, face-painting, various stalls and more.
