A stitch in time goes a long way at Cliffside produce show
The 34th annual Cliffside Villages Garden and Produce Show was well supported when it was held last week at Wellingore Memorial Hall.

Despite the variable weather, there was a good show of fruit and vegetables, especially beans, potatoes, onions and tomatoes.
With the relaunch of the Great British Bake Off, village bakers had been busy with cakes and biscuits including the “made by a man” jam tarts. Crafts, flowers and floral art brightened up the hall too.

Junior Best in Show went to Sam Glennon, aged five, with three firsts and a third; while adult Best in Show was won by Jill Chamberlain for her floral arrangement “From the Hedgerow”.
