Alford woman disqualified after drink-driving on the A16

Sandi Austin, 57, of Westfields in Alford, has been disqualified from driving after she pleaded guilty to drink-driving in November last year.

The offence took place on the A16 at Swaby near Alford on November 26, where Austin drove with 55 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Austin appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on January 12, where she pleaded guilty to the offence.

She was disqualified from driving for 12 months, which can reduced by 13 weeks if she chooses to complete a course.

She was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a£20 victim surcharge.
