Prolific thief who stole meat and chocolate from Skegness shops is jailed
A prolific shoplifter has been jailed after targeting multiple businesses in Skegness, stealing meat and chocolate, Lincolnshire Police say.
“Scott Cutts, 40, of no fixed address, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 2 November, where he admitted breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order imposed by Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court on 1 August 2025,” a force spokesperson said.
"The court heard that he entered retail premises on five separate occasions, contrary to the conditions of the order.”
Lincolnshire Police said Cutts also pleaded guilty to:

• Theft from a shop on 29 October – he stole meat to the value of £100 belonging to M&S Simply and was ordered to pay compensation of £100.
• Theft from a shop on 30 October – he stole chocolate to the value of £72 belonging to Morrisons Supermarket and was ordered to pay compensation of £72.
• Theft from a shop on 31 October – he stole chocolate to the value of £82.50 belonging to Coop and was ordered to pay £82.50.
• Theft from a shop on 1 November – stole a drink to the value of £1.35 belonging to Asda filling station and was ordered to pay £1.35.
“He has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison for multiple Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) breaches," the spokesperson adds. “He was further sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, to run concurrently, for four shop theft offences.”
Inspector Jacky Evans of East Lindsey’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This offender has repeatedly targeted local businesses and continued to breach the conditions imposed upon him. This custodial sentence demonstrates that persistent offending and breaches of court orders have consequences."
