Two arrested after police drugs raid
A man and woman have been arrested after police drugs raid in Sleaford.
Officers descended upon a property in Newfield Road, Sleaford shortly after 10am this morning (Monday) as part of an ongoing investigation, according to Lincolnshire Police.

They said a large quantity of class A and B drugs, cash, a burner phone and various other items were seized after a search by specially trained officers from the Sleaford Neighbourhood Policing Team, supported by the Tactical Support Team and specialist search dogs.
According to the force, the action follows concerns around suspected drug-related activity at the address.

“Officers will remain in the area while the search is completed,” said the force spokesperson.” Local residents should not be concerned by an increased police presence.”
A 30-year-old man and 29-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and remain in police custody.
PC Sarah Kennedy, Community Beat Manager for the Sleaford Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to take action to tackle drug-related activity in Sleaford, and this warrant is an example of that ongoing work. We encourage residents to keep reporting any concerns or suspicious behaviour, and we hope this demonstrates that drug dealing will not be tolerated in the town. I’d also like to thank our partners who helped support us today and we will continue to work with them to keep people safe.”
Anyone with information or concerns is encouraged to contact police on 101, or report anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
