Dinnington: Mayor to unveil revamped market today
A colourful mural has been painted on the back wall and the stall roofs have been given a lick of paint.
“It’s all part of a drive to brighten the place up and encourage people to shop with our traders,” said market manager Stephen Borkowski.
“It sometimes feels like we’re hidden away behind the main shopping street.”
“But it works both ways, this is also aimed at bringing people all the way through, to enjoy both the market and the shops.”
“It’s not just about giving the market a lift, it’s about Dinnington as a whole.”
Although Thursday is not a normal market day, several local businesses, charities and individual traders will be setting up special stalls for the day.
