Donington on Bain Village Hall committee duo recognised
The Donington on Bain Village Hall management committee held a presentation earlier this month of two beautiful garden benches to two long service members in recognition of the extraordinary contribution they have made.
The benches, sourced locally were presented to Kevin Wallis (fourth from the left) and Bryan Parkinson (fourth from right), who have served over 80 years between them on the committee in various roles.
Bryan recently retired from the committee after 52-years.
And although Kevin has stepped down as chair, a role he held for 15-years, he is remaining on the committee having already served about 30-years overall.
Their enthusiasm and commitment to the community serve as an inspiration to us all.
