Britain's 'Fish Twitcher' hosts special screening in Horncastle of remarkable film
Prepare to see our native fish as you’ve never seen them before at the special screening in Horncastle of a remarkable film.
The screening of ‘Britain’s Hidden Fishes’, narrated by Jeremy Wade, host of the hit ITV show ‘River Monsters’, takes place at Horncastle Community Centre this Friday (November 28) from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The film showcases breathtaking underwater footage and amazing stories filmed over two years across the UK.
Leading wildlife cameraman and photographer Jack Perks, who has gained a reputation as Britain’s ‘Fish Twitcher’ on social media and BBC TV programmes, will guide viewers through this visual journey from source to sea.

Famous for his seven-year quest to film all 54 of Britain’s freshwater fish species, Jack brings expert insight and infectious enthusiasm to every frame.
A passionate advocate for freshwater conservation, he is vice-president of the WildFish Conservation organisation and author of the respected publications, ‘Freshwater Fishes Of Britain’ and ‘Field Guide To Pond And River Wildlife’.
WildFish Conservation's mission is to reverse the decline of wild fish populations and their habitats.
Grounded in science and the law, it campaigns against the prime causes, namely pollution from agriculture and sewage, over-abstraction and open-net salmon farming. Its goal is fresh and coastal waters that are clean, healthy and full of life.
The East Mercia Rivers Trust has joined forces with Jack, who hails from Nottingham, to host the screening, which is free to attend.
After the film, you can meet the trust team to learn about local river restoration efforts and discover how you can get involved as a volunteer to help protect these vital ecosystems.
