County-wide road closures and restrictions announced for November
Drivers across Lincolnshire face travel disruption as highways authorities launch an extensive programme of road closures and traffic restrictions heading into early November.
Lincolnshire County Council has published a series of temporary traffic regulation notices covering rural routes, major arterial connectors, and coastal towns.
While some disruptions will last only a day or two, other projects will block local roads for several weeks.
Long-Term Closures to Watch

The most severe disruptions will hit Helpringham and Ingoldmells, where major infrastructure and maintenance schemes are expected to run well into the winter:
Helpringham: A major 50-day road closure begins on 2 November, blocking New Street, Shepherds Lane, and George Street (between Orchard Close and a point 150 metres south).
Ingoldmells: Hurdman Way (Hurdman Lane) will close from 3 November for roughly 45 days, disrupting local residential movement.
Skegness: Lancaster Avenue will be shut between property numbers 24 and 32 starting 2 November for approximately 19 days.
Boston Long Hedges / Freiston Ings: Bankhouse Farm Lane and Boston Long Hedges (between Shaws Lane and Hobhole Bank) will close for approximately 10 days starting 2 November.
Strict Parking Bans in Skegness
Alongside closures, drivers in Skegness should prepare for a broad "no waiting and no loading at any time" enforcement starting 2 November. The restriction will last around two days across 12 streets:
Brunswick Drive, Cavendish Road, Cecil Avenue, Clifton Grove, Lifeboat Avenue, Norwood Road, Portal Green, Roseberry Avenue, Scarbrough Avenue, Somersby Grove, Wilford Grove, and Vernon Road.
Key Commuter and A-Road Closures
Mablethorpe (A1031): Traffic on the A1031 will be closed between the A1104 junction and a point 400 metres north for approximately 3 days starting 30 October.
Louth (B1200 Westgate): A 1-day closure will affect B1200 Westgate (between 42m and 112m southwest of Breakneck Lane) on or about 4 November.
Asgarby (Burton Road): A 1-day closure on Burton Road (between 150m and 500m south of the A17) takes effect on 2 November.

Access and Diversions
Lincolnshire County Council confirmed that signed alternative diversion routes will be posted for all closed corridors. Access to homes and businesses along affected sections will be maintained throughout the works, though drivers should anticipate minor delays when moving through active sites.
Formal orders are issued for up to 18 months to cover contingency delays, but each project is scheduled to reopen as soon as on-site works conclude.
