“Everything was centred around the children and how to inspire them and submerse them in a stimulating learning environment,” she said

“This kind of environment was one that I held very close to my own heart because as a child, I was fortunate enough to have teachers who inspired me to be the person that I am today.”

Samantha says the most rewarding part of her job is watching the children flourish and seeing them develop as individuals.

She said: “Each and every child is different in their own unique way and playing my part in their journey is something which I really value.”

Samantha wanted to be a teacher from a very young age.

But while she was studying for her degree she worked for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue as a retained firefighter.

She said: “Part of this role was going into schools and teaching ‘Risk Watch’ to primary school children.
