New chairman after 18 years' service
Gordon Watson (right), of Leasingham, handed over the role – a post he has held for 18 years – to Tony Crossman (left) at the branch’s annual meeting.
Mr Watson, a former policeman in the Royal Air Force, accepted the post of life vice-president at the meeting. He highlighted how successful the branch had been in collecting for the national Royal Air Forces Association charity (more than £23,000 in the last two years) and thanked committee members for their support. He was presented with a certificate of thanks, a set of wine glasses and a bottle to christen them.
The meeting included a performance by the Cranwell Military Wives Choir.
