Businesses in Alford asked to back young footballers' festive fundraiser
Businesses in the Alford area are being invited to help a children’s football team with their Christmas fundraiser.
The under-11s team at Alford Town Football Club are hosting the event at the White Hart Inn on South Street in the town on Friday, December 5, from 6.30 pm.
And as part of the fundraising, there will be a raffle, as well as fun sessions of bingo, with eyes down at 7 pm.
"So we would like to reach out to local businesses who may wish to donate a prize for the raffle,” said Shane ‘Tilly’ Tilston, who is the team’s manager and one of the organisers of the event.
“Everyone is welcome to join us for a fun night to raise money for our under-11s team.”
Alford Town, based at East End, East Street, run several youngsters’ sides covering various age groups, as well as their men’s first team, who are currently flying high in Division Two of the East Lincolnshire Football Combination.
Businesses interested in helping out should call club secretary Rob Wilson on 07860 175326 or email [email protected]
