After arranging a Covid-safe firework display for people to enjoy from the comfort of their own homes or from their garden, lockdown threw Caistor Lions’ plans out of the proverbial window.
This left the charitable group with a supply of bonfire night light-up novelties, so they had a stall at last week’s Caistor Street Food Market.
A Lions’ spokesman said: “We made every effort to move the event forward to an earlier date, ahead of lockdown, but unfortunately, there just wasn’t time. We hope to have the opportunity to try again when the lockdown is over - or should we wait for November 2021? We would like to hear what people think.”
