Earlier this year, customers at Boston’s Asda store were invited to nominate not for profit groups in the local area that held a special place in their hearts.

The six successful group, who will all receive £300 each, are 107 Endeavour FM, Boston Women’s Aid, Restore Church , Boston Community Transport, Centrepoint Outreach, and Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire.

The groups, all based in the area around the Lister Way supermarket, went out of their way to go above and beyond to make sure that nobody was on their own throughout the pandemic.

The store has judged the six groups to have all made a positive impact by reducing isolation, reducing poverty, delivering essential items to vulnerable people, or being a community lifeline.

Stephen Bromby, community champion at the Asda store, said: “The Asda Foundation is committed to supporting small grass roots charities and community groups and will be awarding the £300 Christmas gifts to these six local groups as part of our Christmas activity to celebrate and thank groups for their commitment to our community this year.”
