Gainsborough man jailed after being found in possession of Rambo style knife
A Gainsborough man has been sentenced to 39 weeks in prison after being found carrying a large Rambo-style knife.
Keith Anderson, 45, of Stanley Street, Gainsborough, was arrested following proactive measures to reduce serious crime in the area.
Anderson had committed two shop thefts in the recent days.
When officers located him, he was in possession of the knife and was subsequently charged with carrying a bladed article.

He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 1, where he received a 39-week custodial sentence for two counts of shop theft and one count of possessing a bladed article.
PC Henry Cawte from Gainsborough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Knives have no place in Gainsborough, and we will do everything we can to prosecute those who choose to carry them.
“Tackling serious violence is one of our neighbourhood priorities, and we hope this outcome reassures the public that we remain committed to addressing this issue.”
