Market Place will close for ‘pop-up’

Market Rasen Market Place will be closed to vehicles later this month as the latest pop-up market event takes place.

To ensure the Market Place is clear of cars to help with the setting up of stalls, it will be closed for parking from 2pm on Friday, August 28.

The pop-up market will take place on Saturday, August 29, and the market place will reopen to cars by 7pm that day.

Community manager at Market Rasen Town Council Faye Lambkin-Smith said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope everyone will understand that for safety reasons this is necessary.

“Market Rasen Town Council hopes the market is successful for the town and that local businesses will benefit from the event.”

The market will operate a one-way system, with marshals to ensure social distancing.
