'We're hoping for better ground conditions': Annual tractor run set for summer return
A popular Lincolnshire tractor run is set to return this summer, with organisers promising another big turnout in support of rural causes.
Sam Brown’s Tractor Run will take place on Sunday, June 14 – with a new date aimed at improving ground conditions for the popular event.
The run will once again start from Farm Brown’s Ice Cream, with tractors setting off at 11am on a 20-mile route around the local countryside.
Organiser Sam Brown said the decision to move the event from its traditional October slot had not been taken lightly.

He said: “Given the success we’ve had in October over the past few years, it was a huge decision to move the date to June, but I very much hope people understand our decision.”
This year, funds raised will be shared between a number of charities and causes across Lincolnshire, rather than a single beneficiary.
Two of the organisations set to benefit are Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and St Barnabas Hospice.
Last year’s event saw 136 tractors take part, raising £10,801.20 for the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network.
Sam added: “I am so very grateful for everyone’s continued support, from those working behind the scenes to everyone who takes part, comes along to watch, waves on the route or donates.
“Not forgetting all the local businesses that help out in various ways — thank you. This year is hopefully the start of a new chapter and I am excited to see where it leads us.”
New for 2026 is an online booking system, designed to make registration quicker and easier on the day, although entries will still be accepted on the morning.
Registration will open at 9am and close at 10.30am, with entry costing £20 per tractor and driver and £10 per passenger, including refreshments.
Spectators are also encouraged to line the route and support the event as the convoy of more than 100 tractors travels through the area.
