Extended awards deadline

A final call is going out for nominations for this year’s Sleaford Town Awards.

The event, run by Sleaford Town Council in partnership with the Sleaford Standard, was due to take place on April 23, but was postponed due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The council is shifting the date to late September, possibly holding the ceremony in St Denys’ Church to enable social distancing.

In light of the amazing work by individuals, groups and businesses during the coronavirus pandemic, we have reopened the nomination process to those additional unsung heroes who live, work or go to school in Sleaford for this year’s awards. The deadline is July 31.

Nominations with full details of the nominee, contact details and full reasons for nomination, along with contact details of the person nominating can be sent by emailing: [email protected] or sent to Stephanie Goodland at Sleaford Town Council, The Town Hall, Navigation Yard, Sleaford, NG34 7TW.

The 12 categories are: Employer of the Year; Overcoming Adversity; Charity of the Year; Community Award; Young Community Volunteer Award; Sports Team/Club of the Year; Sports Individual Award; Young Sports Individual Award (under 19); Carer of the Year; Environmental Award; Young Sleafordian of the Year; Sleafordian of the Year.
