As a result of the fourth Sting in the Tail 10k, organised by Caistor Running Club, the town’s LIVES group and Lions Club have each received a donation of £500.

“We had another very well supported event last summer, with more than 300 runners from across Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties taking part,” said race director Mark Hodson.

“On behalf of them and Caistor Running Club, we’re delighted to be able to make a donation again to both LIVES and the Lions.

“Thank you to all of those who were able to support us – through sponsorship, by volunteering on the day and by actually running in the event.

“It was another proud day for Caistor and its running club, which continues to go from strength to strength.”

The 2016 Sting in the Tail 10k will be run on Sunday July 10.

“With 400 places available, we hope to have a record number of entrants,” added Mr Hodson.
