Busy road in Boston closed due to burst water main; fix not expected until middle of next week

A busy road in Boston has been closed due to a burst water main, with a fix not expected until the middle of next week.

The fault is located in London Road, between Tytton Lane East/West and Woodside.

A spokesman for Anglian Water said its engineers are working to assess and fix the issue ‘as quickly as possible’.

“We are currently aiming to have this resolved on Wednesday, June 10. The road has been closed while this work is carried out to keep everyone safe. We will continue to update our website as work progresses. This can be found at https://www.anglianwater.co.uk/check.

“Thank you to our customers and the local community for their patience while we get everything back to normal.”

Motorists have been experiencing disruption on this side of town lately, after a sinkhole emerged in West End Road, off London Road, last week.

It was only yesterday (Wednesday, June 3) when Lincolnshire County Council announced the road had reopened.
