East Midlands Train responded by saying: “We are sorry for this Giles, regrettably all our carriages are being used to their maximum
capacity.”

But Coun McNeil retaliated, saying: “And what alternative did you offer?

“What announcement was made on platform?

“What apology offer by the train crew? None.”

East Midlands Trains then said: “Compensation. Our apologies.”

And Coun McNeil then had the final word, saying: “I will be, don’t worry about
that.
