Diversion route announced during road patching works to go ahead in Sutton on Sea
A section of the A52 at Sutton on Sea will be closed to traffic for up to two days while road patching works are carried out by the county council.
The scheme will prepare for bigger improvement plans on the way in 2026.

Karen Cassar, assistant director for Highways at Lincolnshire County Council said: “As part of a series of road works and improvements that we are carrying out in the Skegness area, we are now able to get this £40,000 structural pre-patching scheme underway.
“Issues with the road will be repaired as part of the preparation for a 2026 summer surface dressing programme which will happen so as to give the road better all-round performance for road users.”
The works will be carried out in Sutton on Sea on the A52 between St Francis Gardens and Crawcroft Lane. Works will begin on Monday, December 8 with a planned end date of Tuesday, December 9.
Work will on be carried out during the night between 7pm and 6.30am, but the road will have to be closed for the duration of the works with a diversion route in place throughout.
The signed diversion route using like-for-like roads will be A52 Huttoft Road/Mumby Rd/Sutton Road-B1449 Long Lane/Mumby Road/Thurlby Road-A1111 Sutton Road/Alford Road-A52 Station Road/Huttoft Road and vice versa.
Ms Cassar added: “We are carrying out the works at night to reduce the effect on the local traffic network as much as possible.
“Access for residents within the closure area, which is necessary for the safety of road users and the crew carrying out the improvement works, will be maintained. On-site operatives will be available to assist with access and egress.
“I would like to thank everyone effected for their patience and understanding whilst we are delivering these improvements to this part of Huttoft.”
