Sofa left to burn on open ground
Firefighters were called on Sunday night to reports of a fire out in the open at Metheringham.
A crew from the village turned up at Alfred Avenue just after 11pm to find a sofa ablaze, believed to have been a bonfire left unattended, according to a fire services statement.
The sofa was severely damaged before being put out with a hosereel and a hay drag.
