UPDATE: '˜Spillage still to clear' after collision in Methringham which saw a person rescued.

Lincolnshire Police have said the scene of a collision earlier this morning (Thursday) which saw a person rescued from a car has been clear, but a spillage remains.

A police spokesman said two cars and a van were involved and that the collision was called to them at 7.51am.

They said it was minor injury only.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue confirmed crews from Metheringham and Woodhall Spa as well as a ‘tech crew’ from Lincoln South attended The Barff at 8.09am.

They said the incident involved two cars and crews had to use hydraulic cutting equipment and manpower to release one casualty.

According to Brylaine Travel there could be small delays in bus services in the area, with the IC5 in both directions going via Skopwick until it clears.
