Home misery for Horncastle
Horncastle were beaten by 131 runs in their Lincolnshire Premier League Division Two North home clash with Cleethorpes thirds on Saturday.
Choosing to bat first, Cleethorpes made 243-9 with openers Matthew Thompson (38) and Finley Indian (44) putting on an opening stand of 75.

Sam Baker top-scored with an unbeaten 44 and Max Chapman added another 25, Liam Evans finishing with figures of 3-46.
The home reply was always struggling as they lurched from 43-1 to 74-7.
They ended the game 112-9 in 25.2 overs with one player not batting.
Liam Evans led the way with 27, but William Hollamby was the star turn of the innings with a magnificent 5-12 off six overs.
Unfortunately Horncastle had to concede both their Saturday seconds and their Sunday game as they were short on players.
The finalists in the George Marshall T20 Cup, to be held at Woodhall Spa on 22nd August will be Bracebridge Heath, Woodhall Spa and Spalding.
Spa booked their place with a 17-run semi-final success over Sleaford on Saturday.
Tayyab Tahir, who has just signed a deal with Nottinghamshire CCC celebrated with a spectacular unbeaten century, including 11 fours and four sixes.
Ollie Caswell also hit 27 as they finished on 191-4.
Sleaford fell short on 174-6 in their 20 overs, Matthew Mills scoring 74 and George Woods 44.
Right-hander Tahir has enjoyed a decade in English club cricket, and comfortably tops the run-scoring charts for Woodhall Spa CC this season with 1,163 runs at 83.07.
But this will be his first experience of the county game on these shores, having signed to play in the Outlaws’ next three group-stage games in the Metro Bank One Day Cup competition – full story inside.
Meanwhile, Lincolnshire CCC tightened their grip on NCCA Eastern Division Two by completing their three-day assignment against Hertfordshire with a performance that blended discipline with destructive flair and that also included a second wicket record partnership.
The county then made a fine start on day one of their next clash with Bedfordshire – full story inside.
