Lincs CCC finish in fourth
On winning the toss Lincolnshire decided to bat and made a steady start with Dan Freeman and Karanjit Bansal putting on 58 for the first wicket before Bansal fell to the Norfolk captain Chris Brown for 38.
Freeman and Ross Carnelley then pushed the score to 91 before Freeman was caught and bowled for 37.
Carnelley was dismissed immediately thereafter for 36 and from thereon the innings subsided to 205 all out.
Norfolk were quickly reduced to 56 for 3 as David Lucas dismissed the dangerous James Spelman and Sam Arthurton.
At 89 for 4 Lincolnshire were well in the match but stands of 57 by Garry Park and James Hale and 83 by Hale and Stolworthy ensured that Norfolk passed the Lincolnshire total in comfort, being finally dismissed for 292, a lead of 87. Lucas and Freeman each took 3 for 47 for Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire’s second innings started badly and at 60 for 4 they were still 27 runs in arrears.
Carl Wilson and Luke Robinson however saw them safely to 124 for 5 by the close of play on day two, a lead of 37.
Continuous rain on day three prevented any further play and the match was abandoned as a draw.
Lincolnshire took nine points from the game and Norfolk took 11.
Results elsewhere meant that Lincolnshire dropped to fourth place in the final Eastern Division table.
