Boston United defender Ashley Jackson makes Northern Premier League move

Ashley Jackson has left Boston United, joining Northern Premier League Scarborough Athletic.

The Seadogs announced the signing earlier this evening.

The left back joined the Pilgrims ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, making 42 appearances in his first season.

However, he fell behind Alex Whittle in the pecking order last season, turning out 23 times, 14 of those from the bench.

Jackson, a popular and dependable part of the Pilgrims’ squad, follows Simon Ainge out of the club after he joined Gainsborough Trinity yesterday.MORE PILGRIMS: Players on the move
