Crazy August almost over for busy Gainsborough Trinity
The end of a crazy August is nearly in sight for Gainsborough Trinity as three games in six days come to a head on Bank Holiday Monday when high-flying neighbours Cleethorpes Town visit the Kal Group Stadium (3pm kick off).
It rounds off a month that has seen Trinity play eight league games in little over 24 days.

“Cleethorpes will be a really difficult game this season,” said boss Russ Wilcox.
“They are the form team in the division, winning games and scoring lots of goals.”
Imploring the Blue Army to come out in force, Wilcox said, "Please come in your numbers and give your full support to the players.
“You know you will always get 100 per cent effort and application from the group, and some real quality.
“It was disappointing to lose 1-0 late on against Bury on Saturday, but we had some really good opportunities at 0-0 and shouldn't be too down about things.”
After a midweek trip to league newcomers Quorn (Tuesday) Trinity old sparring partners Ashton United (Friday) hoping to be the perfect preparation for Monday's titanic bout with Cleethorpes.
The Holy Blues have been handed a potential banana skin, having been drawn away at Step 5 side Sherwood Colliery in the First Qualifying Round of this season's Emirates FA Cup on the weekend of Saturday, 5th September..
Sherwood have already won through two rounds in the world famous knockout competition, to reach the stage where all Step 3 teams enter for the first time.
“Sherwood Colliery away will be a difficult game, as they all are in the FA Cup,” said Wilcox.
“We will show them full respect, have them watched and go there looking to get through.”
Under Wilcox, Trinity have reached the proper rounds of the competition in each of the last two seasons and been rewarded with televised fixtures that have boosted the coffers.
