Mablethorpe Five-a-Side League: Mabo close in on back-to-back titles

Lallanas In Pyjamas and SA Shooters played out a competitive mid-table affair with Lallanas grabbing some quick goals thanks to a superb performance from Josh O’Brien who helped his team to a solid 5-2 win.

The game of the evening saw current leaders Mabo Reserves edge out Susie’s Stars in an tight 5-4 win as the reigning champions closed in on another title with Kenny Foakes picking up the man-of-the-match award.

Gerardos Tigers picked up a useful points win to pull further away from the bottom with a friendly 5-0 win, Josh Gosling credited with the man-of-the-match award.

Norfolk Chance kept their one-point gap over Susie’s Stars as they beat a patched-up Kolo Puree team 12-3 with some fine finishing from Olly Hanstock to cap the evening.
