Tigers boss Clark scoops December award

WORKSOP Town’s excellent form in the final month of 2012 has earned boss Simon Clark the ‘Manager of the Month’ award.

Clark led Tigers to four wins in four outings, starting with a narrow 2-1 win in Stocksbridge.

Saturday 15th December brought a 5-1 thrashing of Ashton United at Sandy Lane, before Boxing Day’s 3-2 victory over Grantham Town.

But the highlight of December was surely Worksop’s 6-1 humiliation of rivals Matlock Town, with five goals in a blistering opening 25 minute spell.

League officials presented Clark with his award on Wednesday, before the Doodson Sport Cup game against Frickley Athletic.
