Captain Steve Ashby made the selfless decision to leave himself out of the side for the first time this season.

A tough game was expected with each player giving between five and 10 shots to their opponents from Mundesley Golf Club, in Norfolk.

Ashton Turner, giving 10 shots, managed to birdie the last hole to half the match, while Kieron Spencer-Chaplin, Lewis Hackett and Mick Upton all won their games.

With victory already in the bag, Sam Done finished off by winning 2 and 1 to give the team an emphatic result of 4.5-0.5.

They next play away at Hornsea Golf Club for a place in the quarter-finals.
