On a hard-surfaced course through the beautiful Ferry Meadows, the course was relatively flat in the main.

Over the whole six miles a few ups and downs gave an overall elevation gain and loss of 74 metres.

The runners took in the varied landscapes of meadows, lakes and woodland in one of the largest country parks in the region.

The weather was good and it rounded off a very successful year for Boston’s running club.

Trevor Byng had an excellent run and crossed the finish line in 40.36.
