Sleaford Tae Kwon-Do instructor celebrates promotion
Sleaford Tae Kwon-Do instructor Daniel Pearce is celebrating promotion to 7th Degree World Master.
He was congratulated by Grand Master David Oliver, 9th degree, at a recent club event. Daniel started training as a young boy in 1990, and has travelled around the world to practice and compete for his country at major tournaments.

After rising through the ranks Daniel is looking forward to the challenge and responsibility that such a title brings, but has kept the same outlook and philosophy throughout his career.
He said, “It’s important to remember why you started and what kept you motivated over the years, and to always look for fresh challenges. It doesn’t matter how long you have been learning, there’s always something new and exciting just waiting around the corner.” The last 35 years have seen many changes in style but Daniel is convinced that Taekwondo will continue to evolve and remain as popular as ever with future generations, without losing its identity or roots.
Over the next 35 years the martial art will still be teaching people the importance of physical and moral improvement.
Over the last two decades Daniel has dedicated his time to teaching, and has built up a lot of knowledge and experience in coaching so he can now inspire the next generation of Taekwondo students.
He added: “Due to starting at a very young age I hope to have many more years ahead of me practicing and teaching the sport I love. Now I have the opportunity to show others what makes Taekwondo so special.” The club meet at Northgate Sports Hall every Tuesday at 6.30pm.
