Stokes misses out in split decision
Boston Amateur Boxing Club’s Oscar Stokes took part in his second competitive bout in as many weeks as he was matched against Bradley Baker of host club Skegness ABC.
Stokes began aggressively, taking the fight to the Skegness boy.
Baker had the better of round two before a telling rioght hand had the Skegness lad in trouble at the end of the round, the bell giving him some respite.
It was all on the line going into the final round, with Baker claiming a split decision.
In Huntingdon, Rees Millard met Vinny Whitwell, of the St Ives ABC, in a skills bout.
Millard used good body attacks and stayed busy throughout, his coaches pleased with his night’s work as he gained some much needed experience.
