Lights go on at Binbrook

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Binbrook after the tree lighting event in the market place last week.

A large crowd gathered for the event and joined in the singing, led by the children.

All youngsters were then rewarded with a visit from Father Christmas, who handed out some sweet treats.

The honour of switching on the lights went this year to the village school head teacher Sue Beveridge, pictured above, who will be retiring at Easter.

Mrs Beveridge has been at the school for the past 30 plus years, the last 10 as head.
