Mama - Genesis live tribute band to recreate sound of classic rock concert at Louth Town Hall

Recreating the full catalogue from Peter Gabriel to Phil Collins

One of the UK's most successful Genesis tribute bands, Mama, will be faithfully reproducing the sights and sounds of the legendary ‘prog-rock’ band at Louth Town Hall later this month.

The group of acclaimed musicians will recreate a high octane, contemporary Genesis rock concert at the grand Louth venue on Saturday, November 21.

Mama will take you on a journey from Genesis' early years with original lead vocalist Peter Gabriel, through the increased success of the Phil Collins' era of the 70's and 80's and right up to their final studio album, 'We Can't Dance'.

This year they are performing every song from A Trick Of The Tail.

Expect to hear Genesis classics, Mama, Los Endos, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Ripples and many more, with bonus tracks such as Follow You Follow Me, Invisible Touch, Son Of Mine, Land Of Confusion and Trick of The Tail.

Lead singer, John Wilkinson, is said to deliver the Phil Collins vocal sound with power, passion and precision. On keyboards, the band benefits from the technical wizardry of Andy Keegan. Guitars are provided by Simon D'Vali, backed up with the rock solid technical playing of James Cooper stepping into Collins’ shoes on drums, as well as Dave Jones on bass, 12 string guitar and bass pedals.

When asked about the show, John Wilkinson said: "The idea of a Mama show is to celebrate the music of Genesis by having a Genesis party. We are huge Genesis fans, just like our audience. It’s great to meet so many like-minded Genesis fans as we tour the UK year after year. They know what they like!"

Doors and bars open at 7pm ready for the show to start at 8pm. For tickets go to: https://www.louthtownhall.co.uk/mama.html
