Following a recruitment drive last year for its highly successful mash factory, Branston’s growth has continued, with a range of permanent roles needed across the prepared foods and mash factories as well as seasonal recruits to keep up with the fresh potato demand ahead of Christmas.

It’s well documented that the job market nationally is challenging; however, Branston hopes to offer not just jobs but careers for those willing to learn and eager to progress. On 10th September 5pm – 8pm , Branston is hosting a recruitment event for those interested in the permanent positions to meet the team at the Lincoln site, learn about the day-to-day activities, and have an informal discussion about the roles on offer.

Simon Telfer, HR director at Branston, said: “We’re undergoing a period of incredibly positive and exciting growth and we’re eager to expand our team to support the demand from our customers. We’re recruiting into a growing division, which means there is so much capacity for individuals to carve their own career paths and progress within the company.

“We’ve worked hard to ensure the team can access robust training and development programmes, from apprentice level through to senior managers, and that’s the same for anyone looking to join as part of our current recruitment drive. Likewise, we place a lot of importance on our culture and looking after the team.

Up to 45 permanent roles are available in the prepared foods and mash factories, including production operatives and dispatch operatives. Approximately 40 additional employees are also being sought for other areas of the business on a seasonal basis to help make sure supermarkets are well stocked with the essential Christmas spuds.

Simon added: “We are keen to welcome new talent to the Branston team and embrace their expertise to drive our future plans as well as aiding current growth. We’re equally passionate about championing the next generation and have successfully supported many people from entry level roles through to leadership positions with the right training and development.”
