"It's a good club to be a part of" – Sleaford care home celebrates first 'Good' CQC rating
Overall ‘Good’ rating in its very first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.
A care home where residents say staff dance with them, and relatives describe the care as "second to none" is celebrating after receiving an overall Good rating in its very first Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection.

Sleaford Hall, a 67-bed residential, dementia and respite care home on Ashfield Road, has been rated Good overall following its first inspection since opening in 2023, with inspectors praising the home's caring culture, person-centred approach and welcoming atmosphere.
Inspectors found residents received compassionate, personalised care from a team that consistently put people first, noting that staff interactions created "a cheerful atmosphere" throughout the home.

Residents spoke warmly about life at the home, telling inspectors, "It's a good club to be a part of."
Another resident said, "The staff sometimes dance with us and I really like that."
Others added, "The staff are kind – all of the carers are lovely, they are so good to me."
Residents also praised the home's food, accommodation and sense of security saying, "The food is really good, and that's me being honest."

Family members were equally complimentary, with one relative, who works within the care sector, describing Sleaford Hall as, "Exceptional – second to none. They've been so kind to my relative."
The inspection also recognised the positive working culture within the home, with staff speaking proudly about supporting residents and feeling valued by the leadership team. Team members described the home as “A positive place to work”, “Where everyone pulled together to provide the highest standards of care.”
Home manager at Sleaford Hall, Sherin Kandi, said: "Receiving an overall Good rating in our very first CQC inspection is a fantastic achievement and one that every member of our team should be incredibly proud of.
"We set out to create a home where residents genuinely feel happy, safe and valued, so hearing comments like 'it's a good club to be a part of' and seeing inspectors recognise the kindness, compassion and dedication of our team means the world to us.
"This inspection reflects the relationships we've built with our residents and their families since opening. We'll continue striving to make Sleaford Hall a place people are proud to call home."
