“Today, our students showed just what hard work and commitment can deliver,” commented Sam Cassidy, Headteacher. “This year’s GCSE results are fantastic and testament to what KEVIGS students can achieve in our supportive environment. Many students have commented on how our caring and expert teachers gave them just what they needed to achieve the best possible grades. I am incredibly proud of our students and our staff.

“Particularly pleasing, above and beyond sharing the success of our Year 11 students, is that so many of them have decided to stay with us for Sixth Form. In the past few years, we have built upon a solid core of traditional A Levels, taught by subject specialists, and broadened our offering to provide even more opportunities for post-16 study. This has resulted in not only more of our current students deciding to stay with us but has also meant that we’ve be delighted to welcome many more students from other schools into our vibrant and growing Sixth Form.”

Students from other schools who have yet to firmly decide where to study in September 2026 are encouraged to register via www.lincsfutures.co.uk, as there are still some spaces available to join KEVIGS Sixth Form. Alongside its established academic offer, students can now choose from an expanding range of subjects including Law, Criminology, Computer Science, Accountancy and English Language. Other prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to find out more at the school’s Sixth Form Open Evening on Wednesday 30th September, where they can meet staff and students, explore the Sixth Form and learn more about the courses and opportunities available.

King Edward VI Grammar School, having been founded by royal charter in 1551, is one of the oldest schools in the country. While proud of its heritage and tradition, it has evolved into a forward-thinking grammar school that values not just academic success but also the broader, holistic education of its students. The school prides itself on its ability to equip students with the skills, confidence, and resilience to navigate future challenges.
