Laceby woman turns lifelong dream into reality with new beauty business
A young entrepreneur is bringing a fresh new beauty business to the heart of Laceby after returning home to launch her career in the village she loves.
At just 21 years old, Idena, the face behind By Idena, is preparing to welcome her very first clients from Monday, 10th August, at her new base within RiRU Beauty & Hair Salon in Laceby. After spending the last three years studying at the University of Salford, she has chosen to return to her roots and invest in the community she proudly calls home.
Opening her business marks the fulfilment of a long-held ambition, with Idena turning her passion for nails into a professional career after completing a comprehensive range of accredited training courses. She specialises in gel polish, Builder Gel (BIAB) and soft gel extensions, creating everything from elegant everyday nails to bespoke statement designs.
Idena said: "Starting my own nail business has been a dream of mine for a while, so it's a little scary but incredibly exciting to finally be making it happen. I can't wait to welcome clients and help people feel confident through beautiful nails."
Her new home at RiRU Beauty & Hair Salon is fitting, as the salon is home to a talented team of young female entrepreneurs offering a wide range of beauty and hair treatments. Together, they are creating a welcoming, modern space while championing independent local businesses.
Returning to Laceby to launch her business was an easy decision.
"After studying away, I knew I wanted to come back home and build my business here. Laceby is home and I'm excited to be able to offer my services to the local community while supporting other small businesses in the village."
