Lincolnshire Community Foundation awards three-year grant to Clip
“We are delighted that Clip has been selected to lead this incredible partnership”
Lincolnshire Community Foundation (LCF) is delighted to announce that Community Learning in Partnership (Clip) has been awarded a three-year grant to deliver vital support for Care Experienced Young People (CEYP) across Lincolnshire.

The funding, provided through a partnership between Lincolnshire Community Foundation, Lincolnshire County Council, the Henry Smith Foundation and UK Community Foundations (UKCF), will enable Clip, working alongside The Network, Abbey Access Training and Riverside Training, to expand opportunities for care experienced young people aged 16–25.
Together, the partnership will help young people develop the confidence, skills and resilience they need to live independently and thrive within their communities.
There are currently more than 1,000 care experienced young people across Lincolnshire. This new investment will strengthen the support available through a personalised, relationship-based approach focusing on early intervention, helping to prevent challenges from escalating and enabling young people to achieve their aspirations.
Working closely with Lincolnshire County Council's Leaving Care Team, Clip – which is part of the Acis Group - and its partners will provide tailored one-to-one and group support to help young people:
Develop essential life skills and prepare for independent living.
Build confidence in budgeting, money management and tenancy responsibilities.
Improve emotional wellbeing and resilience.
Strengthen community connections and reduce social isolation through activities and local opportunities.
Access education, employment, training and wider wellbeing support.
The funding will also provide access to additional activities and opportunities that sit outside existing statutory provision. These will be identified through personalised support plans, ensuring each young person receives the right support, at the right time, based on their individual needs, interests and ambitions.
The programme reflects a shared commitment to strengthening Lincolnshire's corporate parenting offer by providing a wider network of community-based support, helping care experienced young people build brighter, more independent futures.
Richard Thorpe, Operations Manager for Acis Group which owns Clip, said: “We are delighted that Clip has been selected to lead this incredible partnership. Our brilliant teams have a proud track record of supporting young people with skills, education, training and wellbeing services and we believe our core offer and experience will play a major role in strengthening support for care experienced young people.”
Cllr Natalie Oliver, executive member for children’s services, said: “We work tirelessly to ensure that those children in our care and care leavers can go on to have a successful adult life. We already provide a wide range of services and support for care leavers, to help them find their feet, just like any other parent does. However, we always want to do more for them, and this fantastic new project will be a great boost to the support available, helping them succeed in all they want to achieve.”
Sue Fortune, Chief Executive of Lincolnshire Community Foundation, said: "We are delighted to have secured funding for this important programme and to be working alongside the Leaving Care Team at Lincolnshire County Council, Clip and partners to support care experienced young people across Lincolnshire. Every young person deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential, and this investment will provide practical support, trusted relationships and opportunities that will support the young people now, and in the future”
Lincolnshire County Council has used part of its allocation from the UK government’s Crisis and Resilience Fund to support the project.
