Holton le Moor WI touches down at airstrip
A talk by Phil Read entitled An airstrip in my Back Garden saw members of Holton le Moor WI travel a few miles away to hear how Mr Read had arrived at the venue and built up his private airstrip.
Members sat in a large hanger for the talk and also ventured outside to see the airstrip itself.
Also in July, creative crafters from far and wide flocked to Moot Hall for the WI’s sale of craft materials and finished goods, from the remnants of 102-year-old Hettie’s lifelong interests.
Strawberry teas were also on offer.
