There were 35 members at the February meeting, many were wearing green hearts, which they had made in support of the UN conference on climate change.
The WI team was congratulated on winning the quiz held at Abbey Lodge in aid of Jubilee Park.
The village quiz night, which the WI runs, will be held on Monday, March 21. Teams wishing to enter should contact Linda O’Neill on 01526 352227 for details.

Hide AdEntries of handmade cards were received for the Zoe Boswell Trophy.
The guest speaker for the evening was Pauline Rayfield, who gave an interesting and detailed insight into homeopathy, showing how many natural substances are beneficial and can be used to maintain good health.
The meeting closed with some social time, the competition results and a raffle.
The next meeting is the annual meeting on March 14.
